Lindsey Hoggarth

Graduated 2008

The three years I spent at Lancaster University were some of the best of my life. All the staff in the Educational Research department are incredibly supportive knowledgeable and friendly. The content from the course proved very useful when I went into employment as a nursery nurse initially, then to train as an early years teacher. The theory and research I learned about allowed me to understand both educational issues and apply them to a psychological trail of thought.....very useful when working with young children who are strange and wonderful creatures. Modules such as developmental psychology, cognitive psychology and Special Educational Needs were the three most useful and continue to inform my practice as a nursery teacher. I have just qualified as a Lower Primary Teacher and have secured my first teaching post in South Manchester.
