MA in English Literary Studies (ELS)

Students taking the generalist pathway take any 4 modules.

The dissertation will be in any subject that can be covered by staff in the department.

Students are expected to take two 20 credit modules per term (Terms 1 and 2). Students can apply to replace one taught module with a guided reading course, the Special Subject module.

The compulsory ENGL419: Research Methods course is taken by all English MA students and runs across terms 1, 2 and 3.
