Sara Maitland: 'Gossip from the Forest'

Sara Maitland's http://www.saramaitland.com/Home.html new book,Gossip from the Forest will be published by Grantain November 2012. In honour of the 200th anniversary of the first edition of the Grimm Brothers' collection of fairy tales, it explores the idea that fairy stories come out of forests. The book includes a series of walks in forests (ancient and modern), commentary of fairy stories and their themes and twelve new rewrites of traditional Grimm's stories. It also includes photographs by Adam Lee. Sara is one of our tutors on theLancaster University Distance Learning MA in Creative Writing.
