Undergraduate Prizewinners 2013

Every year, the Department of English and Creative Writing awards prizes to undergraduate students who have achieved highly either across their time with us or in certain elements of their coursework.

We are pleased to announce that the following students have been awarded prizes for their achievements during the 201-13 academic year.

The Part I Prize (English Literature)

Awarded for the best overall performance on ENGL 100: Introduction to English Literature

Awarded for the best overall performance on CREW 103: Introduction to Creative Writing

The Portfolio Prize

Awarded for the best overall performance on CREW 203: Creative Writing Workshop (Year 2)

Eleanor Sanders

The Theory Prize

Awarded for the best project on ENGL 201: The Theory and Practice of Criticism

John Paton

The Year 2 Prize

Awarded to the second year student with the highest overall average in the year.

Bethany Jones

The Programme Prize

Awarded for the best overall performance on CREW 303: Creative Writing Workshop (Year 3)

Alice Gradwell

The Dissertation Prize

Awarded for the best dissertation submitted for ENGL 301: Dissertation Module.

Eleanor Quick

The Department Prize

Awarded to the finalist with the best overall degree in the Department

Emma Earnshaw
