Welcome, Eoghan Walls

Eoghan Walls

The Department of English and Creative Writing is very pleased to welcome Dr Eoghan Walls, who will be joining us as a Lecturer in Creative Writing from 1st October 2013.

Eoghan has both an MA and a PhD from the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry at Queen's University Belfast.and has previously taught Creative Writing at Queen's University Belfast, for the Open University and at Edinburgh University.

Eoghan won an Eric Gregory Award in 2006, an Irish Council Bursary in 2008 and has been shortlisted for a number of other prizes, such as the Crashaw Prize, the Bridport Prize and the Strong Award for Best First Collection.

His first collection, The Salt Harvest was published in 2011 with Seren, and he is currently working on a translation of Heidigger's poetry.
