Lancaster Creative Writing Team Win Prospects Postgraduate Teaching Award

Date: 25 November 2013

The Creative Writing distance Learning MA teaching team at Lancaster University has been Highly Commended in the category of Best Teaching Team in the Arts & Humanities in the Prospects Postgraduate Awards, 2013. The MA Distance Learning teaching staff are split into two teams who each support a cohort of 20 UK and international students through individual tuition, online conferencing, and a face-to-face Summer School at Lancaster. The prize is awarded through student nomination, made this year by MA student Rob Keeley. The teaching team consisted of Tom Pow, Diran Adebayo, Sarah Corbett and Conor O'Callaghan. Supporting and leading them as course convenors were Dr. Lee Horsley and Professor Graham Mort, who attended the prize-giving ceremony in Manchester. Rob Keeley, who graduated from the MA programme with a Distinction, commented: "I'm delighted to hear of the DLMA team's success in winning a Highly Commended award. I've just completed two highly useful and enjoyable years studying for the Creative Writing MA and hope that my association with Lancaster will continue for many years to come."
