Love's Victory for Alison Findlay

Date: 6 June 2014

Professor Alison Findlay and actors from Shakespeare's Globe will be reviving the earliest surviving comedy drama by a female writer at Penshurst Place this weekend.

The staged reading of Love's Victory, which was written by Lady Mary Wroth in around 1620, is taking place as part of the Read Not Dead project, which stages readings of 16th and 17th century plays with professional casts. It coincides with a conference also taking place over the weekend.
