The components may not be taken independently and assume a time of residence abroad during the third year. Written, grammar and oral work continues with increasing focus on translation into English and the foreign language.

ITAL300i/301i is a direct continuation of the course ITAL200i/201i and can be taken by all students who have completed the second year in Italian. Together these two courses make up the language-only minor in Italian. A  period of residence in an Italian-speaking country is not a prerequisite. The syllabus will assume a starting level of B1 on the CEF and aim at achieving B2 – C1 at the end of the course.

Assessment

Assessment for the full unit 300/301, is by coursework (40%) and examination (60%).
