Community Policing - the End of an Affair

Mike Brogden is currently Honorary Professor in the Department of Applied Social Science at Lancaster. He was formerly Professor of Criminal Justice and Director of the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Queen's University Belfast. He has conducted research into colonial policing and into crimes of private space - elder, spouse and child abuse. Mike's publications include: Geronticide (2005); Community Policing. National and international models and approaches (2005, with Preeti Nijhar); Crime, Abuse and the Elderly (2005, with Preeti Nijhar); Policing for a New South Africa (1997 with Clifford Shearing).
