Public Philosophy Talk - Professor Philip Kitcher - Knowledge and Democracy
Furness Lecture Theatre 2, Lancaster University
Free and open to all.
Philip Kitcher is Professor of Philosophy at Columbia University, and author of numerous books in the philosophy of science. In this talk he aims to make sense of the ways in which a commitment to democracy should shape "what we know". The exploration shows how there are serious socio-political issues to which philosophers should respond.
