Charters, Acculturation and State-Building in the Norman World

The AHRC-funded project 'The Norman Edge' will be holding its second colloquium on Monday 6th July, 2009, in IAS MR 2/3, between 11am and 4pm. The colloquium, entitled 'Charters, Acculturation and State-Building in the Norman World' will focus on the lanaguages of power in documents concerning land holding and associated rights. There will be three speakers: Dr Alex Metcalfe (Lancaster), Dr Jonathan Gledhill (Lancaster), and Dr John Davies(Edinburgh - AHRC 'Paradox of Medieval Scotland' project).
