Claire Jowitt

Claire Jowitt is Professor of Renaissance Literature at Nottingham Trent University. She is the author of many works including: Voyage Drama and Gender Politics 1589-1642: Real and Imagined Worlds (Manchester UP, 2003), the edited collection Pirates? The Politics of Plunder, 1550-1650 (Palgrave, 2006) and The Culture of Piracy 1580-1630: English Literature and Seaborne Crime (Ashgate, 2010)
