1914-2014, A Century of Creativity Inspired by the War

Date: 11 November 2014 Time: 18.00 (for 18.30 prompt start)

An evening of prose, poetry and music inspired by the war - at the time, and to the present day.

The poetry, prose and music of the war years will be juxtaposed with a creative writing project of 2014, when archival materials of the Lancashire Archives inspired the publication of 'Not the Wipers Times' a hundred years after the outbreak of the War.

This is a FREE event, hosted by Corinna Peniston-Bird (Department of History) in conjunction with George Green and Liz Oakley-Brown(Department of English& Creative Writing), and the Preston Arts Festival Writers, as part of the FASS Initiative 'Campus in the City'.
