Doctoral training awards
The Faculty is extremely pleased to announce that it has been successful in winning substantial postgraduate funding from the AHRC Doctoral Training Partnerships (BGP2). As a member of the North West Consortium, over £14million will provide 200 Doctoral Training awards over 5 years, available from October 2014 for the highest quality students in all subject fields eligible for support: Arabic, Chinese and Japanese, Art, Art History, Arts Management, Library and Museum Studies, Creative Writing, Cultural Studies, Design, Drama, Theatre, Dance, English, History, Law, Linguistics, Media and Communication, Modern Languages, Music, Philosophy, Religion, Translation Studies.
Research Training Programme
We offer an extensive Research Training Programme which includes a range of modules in the philosophical bases of research, research methodologies (both quantitative and qualitative), writing, publishing and other communication skills, and more general guidance on how to undertake postgraduate work.
