Research by PhD student Mark McGlashan (Linguistics and English Language) recommending children's books used in primary schools should feature same-sex parents to help teach tolerance among youngsters is reported by the Daily Telegraph. Mark's PhD (supervised by Jane Sunderland) is on the representation of same-sex parent families in children's books.
