Professor Mary Hamilton appointed as Distinguished Visiting Scholar

Professor Mary Hamilton has been appointed as Distinguished Visiting Scholar in the Centre for Learning and Change, University of Technology, Sydney for the month of October 2013. During her stay at UTS she will deliver a keynote address to the national conference of the Australian Council for Adult Literacy and give a public lecture on the topic of "Big Data". She will work on an edited book with colleagues in Australia on the futures of literacy and meet with staff and postgraduate students to share ideas about research and university-based professional training in adult literacy and numeracy. Whilst in Sydney she will also visit Professor Peter Goodyear's Centre for Research on Computer Supported Learning and Cognition (CoCo) at the University of Sydney and give a seminar there on a topic related to digital literacies.
