Access Lancaster History Essay Prize

Applicants for 2014 entry who make Lancaster their 'firm' UCAS choice are eligible to enter the Department's Access Lancaster History Essay Prize competition.
Entrants should submit an essay of 1,000-1,200 words (including notes) on the topic 'Why Does History Matter?' Essays must be sent electronically as a single Word file attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 12 noon on Friday 11 July 2014. The file should include the entrant's name, UCAS ID and contact details.
Entrants are encouraged to consult with their Head of History or History teacher and to ask them to submit the essay on their behalf and with their endorsement.
The winner will be notified in September 2014. The Prize is awarded in the form of a single £1,000 bursary payable in January 2015 upon registration at Lancaster and completion of the first term of study.

V100 - History
V125 - Medieval and Renaissance Studies
VVC5 - History and Philosophy
VV16 - History and Religious Studies
