About Dynamics of Memory

Our group aims is to bring together the wide spectrum of chronological, geographical and disciplinary areas of expertise covered by its members, focusing on the relationship of memory and justice.

We investigate new approaches to memory studies that can afford new insights into the processes of human rights abuses, conflict resolution and memorialisation of war.

Dynamics of Memory also aims to assess how individuals and social groups use or misuse narratives about the past and the ways in which collective and social memory become tools for the development of national, regional or local identities.
