New distance learning postgraduate modules in Quaker Studies

Date: 6 February 2014

In collaboration with the Postgraduate Quaker Study Centre at Woodbrooke, Birmingham, the Department of Politics, Philosophy, and Religion is pleased to announce two new, innovative, distance learning programmes: 'MA Quakerism in the Modern World' and 'Postgraduate Certificate in Quaker Studies'. Both programmes are designed to introduce students to theories, issues and processes connected with the history, theology and sociology of Quakerism in a global context. Although they will be of particular interest to those around the world who are interested in Quaker theology and history, they will also be of interest to anyone seeking to understand globalisation and religion, as well as the adaptation of religious groups to new social and geographical settings. For more details, please contact the programme director, Professor Chris Partridge (c.partridge@lancaster.ac.uk).
