Project graded 'Outstanding'

Dr Nina Caspersen's project "The Politics of Unrecognised States" has been graded Outstanding by the Economic and Social Research Council. The Outstanding grade “indicates that a project has fully met its objectives and has provided an exceptional research contribution well above average or very high in relation to the level of the award”.

 

Paper presented at NATO workshop

Dr Nina Caspersen gave a paper at the NATO Workshop on 'Non-Traditional Security Threats and Regional Cooperation in Southern Caucasus' in Istanbul, 22-24 October. Her paper focused on third party conflict resolution in the Caucasus.

 

Workshop on Unrecognised States
On 7 July 2009 a very successful workshop on unrecognised states was held at Lancaster University. The workshop, which was the second in a series of two, was entitled Making Sense of Unrecognized States in the International System.

The workshop was co-organised by Dr Nina Caspersen, Dept of Politics, Lancaster University and Professor Gareth Stansfield from the University of Exeter.
