Venue: FASS Meeting Room 3
How can the UK afford an energy system? Mike Colechin from Energy Technologies Institute.
Demand for energy in the UK is growing, assets are ageing and prices are rising. This creates a number of challenges for the institutions involved in the design, development and delivery of the UK's future energy system…
…and then there's the challenge of greenhouse gases.
In this presentation, Mike Colechin of the ETI will explore the decisions that need to be made about the UK's energy system, the drivers for them, their timing, the players involved, and the cost implications that arise. He will also champion the role for innovation in mitigating the impacts of these decisions.
