Dr Michaela Edwards

Lecturer in Organisational Health and Wellbeing

Research Overview

I am interested in how organizations can better support the wellbeing of their employees and in how we can understand wellbeing and coping more effectively with a holistic approach.

Theoretically I am influenced by Winnicottian object relations theory. I argue for the importance of Winnicottian object relations theory in advancing our understanding of coping and wellbeing beyond an organizationally bounded approach.

I am very interested in any possible applications my work might have in political, charitable and business spheres.
