Summary: The Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) initiative has two main aims: to reward excellent teaching practice, and to further invest in that practice so that CETLs funding delivers substantial benefits to students, teachers and institutions. CSET is providing evaluation research support for a group of CETLs and has supported general CETL development through the provision of evaluation tools and approaches. We've begun the evaluation of the national strategy for CETLs. For more information on the strategy, see website.
Type of Activity: Contract Research
Project Director: Murray Saunders (Educational Research)
This evaluation is to provide formative feedback on the extent to which the CETL strategy of rewarding and enhancing excellence is achieving its intended effects of encouraging and inspiring positive changes in teaching and learning in the HE sector as a whole.
