Use the Concord program to check out the frequency of shall and its collocates in the American English corpora. You could also look at other forms used to express the future, eg will, 'll and won't.

Get this table. It is the same as the one we used previously, but LOB has changed to Brown and FLOB to Frown. Now fill in the values. Use the Resort and Collocates buttons to get the frequencies.
