History Doctoral Student awarded double prize

Jane Platt, a doctoral student in the History Department, has been awarded the Queen's Studentship in History, awarded annually to the best-qualified entrant to postgraduate study in the department. She has also won the M. F. Howson prize for local history. Our congratulations to her for this double achievement.
