Dr Alex Metcalfe announces online publication of new articles on JAIS website

The Journal of Arabic and Islamic Studies, edited by Dr Alex Metcalfe, is pleased to announce the online publication of several new articles which may be downloaded from the journal's official website.

The latest volume includes articles on Hizbullah's Relations with Iran; personal identity and code choice in modern Arabic literature; the stereotype of the stupid schoolteacher in Classical Arabic sources; the use of Ajami scripts in Senegalese, and the anecdote of the Pharaoh in medieval Arab-Islamic historiography.
