Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP)
The Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) is an in-service programme designed to support the educational and professional development of university staff. The programme is accredited by the Higher Education Academy. It is aimed at the range of colleagues who have teaching and learning support responsibilities, including module or programme design and development.

Registrations for PGCAP 2015-16
The registration form below is an important document that helps programme tutors to gain a sense of your prior professional development and experience of teaching in Higher Education. This helps to ensure that the development offered through PGCAP is appropriate for the colleagues registering for it. We are grateful to you for completing it as fully as possible. The form includes a letter of agreement for your Head of Department to sign. If you are unable to email the HoD letter with your registration form, please indicate this in your email and forward it as soon as you are able. Confirmation of your place is contingent upon receipt of this letter of agreement.

Module 2: Curriculum Design and Development(CDD)• Registrations close on 20th November 2015 • Module commences 8th December 2015
Current PGCAP participants (i.e. where module one was completed in 2014-15) will be notified directly for to enquire about your intention to continue to Module 2 of the programme. Other colleagues will need to contact OED to enquire about module availability and to register. In some instances you may be asked to complete a registration form.
*PLEASE NOTE – PGCAP underwent a restructure in light of being reaccredited by the Higher Education Academy in Summer 2015. As a result, 2015-16 will be the final year that the CDD module runs. From 2016-17 it will be replaced by the Individual Curriculum Enquiry module (ICE), and a revised pathway will be available for those colleagues with 30 credits wishing to complete the full PGCAP award.
