Working with Others
AudienceThis workshop is part of the new Lancaster Professional Programme and has been developed for all members of administrative, technical and manual staff of the University, but is particularly relevant to those within grades 1-6.
This workshop will explore the value of developing networks within and outside of the institution and of seeing an individual role within a wider context. Practical approaches for developing effective working relationships and for working within teams of different kinds will be examined.
At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
- Recognise the benefits of working in networks, partnerships and teams
- Define new and existing networks relevant to own role
- Demonstrate awareness of how they can build more effective relationships to improve their own role
Some background reading and application of theory through practical exercises will be encouraged.
This programme is delivered by Jonathan Bowyer, a highly experienced coach, facilitator, trainer, leader and manager and Kath Houston a career coach and freelance trainer and senior lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire with a special interest in personal development, confidence and resilience.
