Research Career Development Group (RCaD)
Is this course for me?
RCaD is a group of researchers from across the Faculty of Health and Medicine who share the goal of developing their research careers. The group meets informally every six to eight weeks and includes a range of people at different stages of their research careers. Many members are in Research Associate positions and others are post docs or just about to complete their PhDs.
The goals of meetings are:
- to allow members to discuss issues that affect their research and career development in a friendly, informal atmosphere.
- to raise awareness of and give a voice to those issues at Divisional and School Research Committees
The group is a source of information and support for researchers in the School and members of the group organise occasional workshops on topics of interest and invite guest speakers to speak at meetings.
Other faculties may be interested in establishing similar groups
