Cultural Political Economy Research Centre
Summary: The Cultural Political Economy cluster was established in 2003 and it subsequently developed into a Cultural Political Economy Centre in 2009. The Centre explores and evaluates the challenges posed by the cultural for orthodox political economy and social scientific inquiry, taking the cultural turn seriously but not uncritically and, at the same time, affirming the continued importance of capitalist and other socially structured and anchored power relations in the economic field, broadly understood.
