There are a number of changes in the way the rebuilt system works. Here's a list of things to bear in mind:
- Job scheduler: The new system uses SGE rather than LSF for job scheduling. Job submission and monitoring commands, as well as job submission script syntax are all different. The relevant pages describing job submission have been updated with information on these new commands and formats
- Using qsub: Unlike bsub, qsub does not use input redirection. The command syntax is "qsub myjob.com" and not "qsub < myjob.com"
- Binaries: The rebuilt system is generally binary compatible with the previous one, though binaries that linked through to specific versions of standard libraries will require a recompile.
- GPU binaries: The rebuilt system uses CUDA 5.0. Binaries
for GPU nodes will need to rebuilt to reflect the changes in the API.
