Fake student loan email11:21 - 15/10/2014

Fake emails claiming to be from Student Finance England (with the subject ‘Important loan information from SFE', and addressing you as 'Dear Student') are arriving in University email inboxes. Using the Application Jukebox service from ISS you can run University software on any Windows PC or laptop on-demand (without needing to install each software title). Do you know how to spot an email phishing for your information? They can look genuine. Tell-tale signs include the email advising you of changes or issues which require you to give further information e.g. provide passwords or ask you to click on/follow a link which might ask for further information or infect your machine. Never reveal your password to anyone.more »
