The 'Threat Watch' site provides up-to-date information about a range of electronic threats seen at Lancaster University. Priority is given to providing alerts about the following threats:
- Phishs, Trojans and Scams that are (or appear to be) targeted an the Univesity.
- Viruses and Worms that are causing problems internationally.
- Other attacks that threaten the University.
The Threat Watch page also contains links to the 'install points' and 'help' for the latest anti-virus software licenced for lancaster university. Follow 'more' for more information about security at Lancaster University.
'Threat Watch' replaced 'The AntiVirus Page' in July 2008. The AntiVirus Page was established 1996.
The University Electronic Information Systems Security Policy document states that all users are responsible for the safety of data kept on their own PCs and servers & ultimately this is the case - see the Conduct Section.
