Why did you choose your course at Lancaster?
I wanted to pursue a career in translation and I knew from my undergraduate studies that the Lancaster University languages department had an enthusiastic and supportive faculty.
What is the best part of your course?
I thoroughly enjoyed being able to carry out my own independent study unit, as well as my translation project. These modules gave me the freedom to focus on topics I was genuinely interested in.
What are you hoping to do when you finish university?
After starting as a part-time business development assistant at a Manchester-based translation agency, I am now working there full time and training to be a translator from German into English.
What's 'Lancaster life' like?
Living on the Lancaster campus is a unique experience. It's a lovely and welcoming environment - there's a society or event for everything.
