French and German Studies 2013

It was the year abroad which I enjoyed the most. The year was not easy by any means but difficult experiences helped me to grow as a person and, of course, to develop my language skills. I met so many fantastic people and gained some valuable work and life experiences to boot.

I split my year between France and Germany, studying at Rennes 2 University before doing a work placement in Nuremberg, working for an internationally renowned market research company.

My placement gave me valuable work experience in a variety of fields and I now enter the world of work with a better footing. Also at the end of my degree I got a short-term placement with a local German Business Consultancy company through a university scheme called Unite with Business. This has given me work experience which enhances my language degree.
