French and Spanish Studies 2013
I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to study languages or history, but when I learned about the role of culture modules in DELC I thought it would give me the best of both worlds. From the start, I was so glad all language classes were given as seminars, rather than lectures. It meant the tutors got to know us all individually and asking questions was easier.
My favourite modules were the ones based on foreign films. They were both interesting and helped develop listening skills. The balance of presentation, essay and exam was good as the presentations contributed to the rest of the classes’ understanding of the topics.
