Spanish Studies and Psychology, 2011
I chose Lancaster University because I was able to study Psychology alongside Spanish as a joint degree. Through living on campus for two years I met a lot of interesting people who I am still friends with today and who I would not have met in other circumstances. During my four years I learnt so much more than I ever expected to in terms of life skills and it also helped me to realise what I wanted to do as a career.
My year abroad at the University of Lleida, in Spain, was amazing due to the people I met and also to the language and life skills I learnt. I was able to discover so much about Spanish culture, and it really allowed me to become immersed in the language and build my confidence. I studied a combination of Spanish language and Psychology modules, which taught me a lot about the differences between the Spanish and English education systems. I also worked as a freelance English tutor.
