LLM in International Business and Corporate Law

Having completed my bachelor’s degree in financial law at Kazakh National University, I worked in governmental organisations of the Republic of Kazakhstan for several years. The collaboration with our foreign partners and international organisations led me to pursue the study of international business and corporate law.

As a holder of the ‘Bolashak’ International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I was admitted to several universities in the UK. However, my choice was Lancaster University. In addition to its place in the top 10 ranking and student satisfaction ratings, only Lancaster University could offer such an interesting and exciting LLM course in International Business and Corporate Law, which is exactly what I wanted to study.

The courses provided by the LLM programme at Lancaster University have satisfied my desire to obtain a comprehensive knowledge in Foreign Investment Law and WTO Law. I greatly appreciate having been taught by highly qualified professors with a rich background and practical experience in Insolvency Law, Company Law and Corporate Governance. Importantly, studying together with professional lawyers from different countries made the course fascinating. I am very grateful for having had such a valuable experience during the course of the LLM programme at Lancaster University.

I am deeply convinced that the highly marketable set of skills provided by the LLM programme at Lancaster University will make students an asset to their potential employers. I therefore highly recommend Lancaster University and in particular the LLM programme to all prospective students.
