Postgraduate Research Student Travel Bursaries - now closed.

Postgraduate Research Students are invited to apply for a bursary to cover reasonable travel costs associated with attending the conference. The funding is  open to PGRs who are members of the association (membership is free in the first year for PGRs), who are registered for a postgraduate research degree at a higher education institution, and who do not also hold a full-time academic appointment at a higher education institution or other full-time job.

Details of how to join the SLSA, and the benefits of membership can be found on the SLSA's website.

Hardship Bursaries - second call

A limited amount of funding is available to support SLSA members (PGRs and staff) to attend the Conference. Members should contact the local organising committee explaining why support is needed. The applicant should ensure that they explain why funding is not available from other sources (e.g. institutional research allowance, research support from an external funder).

Charitable Sector Conference Fee and Travel Bursaries - second call

Organisations from the charitable sector (non-HE) are invited to participate in the Conference. Up to six bursaries are being offered to encourage this participation. Applications will only be considered from charities registered in the United Kingdom. Higher Education Institutions or related charities are not eligible to apply.

The bursaries cover reasonable travel costs associated with attending the conference, along with full conference fees, accommodation for two nights during the conference on Lancaster University Campus, attendance at the Conference Wine Reception and Conference Dinner, lunches and other refreshments.
