Mr Chang'er ChenResearch Associate
Chang'er got his Master Degree in Environmental Science from Dalian University of Technology (DLUT), China in 2009. His research focusses on Environmental fate, behaviour, effects and risk assessment of organic pollutants and development & applications of passive sampling techniques for Environmental studies. Particularly:
- Inter-media transfers and global cycling of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs);
- Fate and behaviour of organics (PPCPs and POPs), in the aquatic, terrestrial and marine environments;
- Trends in environmental organic contamination and the implications for sources;
- Adverse effects of exposure to organic chemicals;
- Development and applications of novel passive sampling and analytical techniques (o-DGT – chemical sensors) for water, soil and sediment;
Chemical fate modeling tools;
Chemicals management and regulation.
