Rutherford Fellowships in Innovations in Food Security
Supported by the Rutherford Fund from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Universities UK International, Lancaster University, the N8 AgriFood Resilience Programme and the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) are building a strategic partnership under the theme of ‘Innovations in Food Security’. The aim of is to design technological and business solutions to the challenge of excess and scarcity of water and the impacts on food production and agricultural resilience.
Call for applications
We are recruiting early career researchers affiliated with the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) holding doctoral degrees for 6 Rutherford Fellowships. Fellows will spend 6 months in Lancaster working with academics from our university and Small and Medium Entreprises (SMEs) from the North of England. The applications must incorporate elements of interdisciplinary research and engagement with non-scientific sectors including connections with businesses, policymakers.
