Water and Environmental Management, Croatia

Learn about the challenges of managing the environment, particularly water resources, in the Istrian Peninsula.

Based in Croatia, you will study a unique environment which is strongly governed by its position as a transitional zone between humid temperate and desert climates, which makes it particularly sensitive to global climate changes.

During this four-day field course you will have the opportunity to study the distinctive environmental, cultural and socioeconomic nature of the Istrian Peninsula whilst learning about the physical constraints on water availability. In addition, you will also analyse the role of government institutions and private companies in managing water for a range of purposes.

Take a look at our story map for more information about where you will visit and what you will learn as part of the field course.
