Our Geography society, SLUGS, offers a great opportunity to take part in a variety of different activities whilst getting to know others from your course.
The SLUGS, or Society of Lancaster University Geography Students, provides a great opportunity for all Geography students to get involved with a fun and relaxed student society, whilst making friends with others from your course.
We organise a diverse range of academic and non-academic activities throughout the year giving our members the chance to relax and enjoy themselves and also further develop their interest in geography.
Examples of previous events include walks to Malham Cove and the Lake District, guest lectures, formal meals and a wide range of socials including the ‘colouring in’ social and ‘SLUGS Go Green’.
One of the highlights of our social calendar is the end of year formal meal and ball, where we team up with the other societies (EcoSoc and EnviroSoc) to host this memorable event for all students and staff in the Lancaster Environment Centre.
As a member of the SLUGS society, you will be free to attend as many social events as you wish, hopefully making many new friends and creating lasting memories of Lancaster.
