Dr Liz Hurrell

Learning Developer

I am the Learning Developer for the Faculty of Health and Medicine. My role is to provide additional study support to all students within the Faculty. The support aims to enable students to reach their full potential through effective study practices through developing academic writing, time management, effective reading, revision techniques and more.

I deliver departmental workshops, writing groups, one-to-one tutorials as well as providing online resources. I work closely with departments to tailor support to specific programmes.

I completed my PhD (LEC) in 2009 and draws on my science background in my teaching. I also work as an Associate Lecturer for the Open University on Environmental Science modules.
