Jolt the Library was our student-led innovation competition to find an idea to improve user experience in the Library.
The winner of Jolt the Library 2015 was MSc International Innovation (Engineering) student Kyaw Tun Sein. Kyaw's idea was to use health monitoring technology such as Smart Cushions to help students to improve their study habits in the Library.
From Monday 9th May we have five Darma Smart Cushions available for loan from the Library Information Point during staffed hours.
These technology enhanced cushions can help you to:
- Maintain an upright posture
- Adopt healthy sitting habits
- Manage your stress
Exam revision or dissertation writing can be a stressful time! Make sure you look yourself by eating well, drinking lots of water, sleeping plenty and most importantly making sure you take regular study breaks. Study breaks will help you to destress and give your brain time to assimilate all your revision.
The Library's Darma Smart Cushions can remind you to take regular breaks and give you information on your sitting habits and health - so why not give one a try!
Let us know what you think of the Darma Smart Cushions and the other student-submitted ideas from Jolt the Libary in the comments below or via Facebook or Twitter.
