This weekly newspaper was founded in 1843 to campaign for free trade and internationalism. The Economist features news and analysis of the world's political, business, scientific, technological and cultural developments and the connections between them.

We've also extended our access to the British Library's newspaper archives, acquiring Part V which encompasses a wide range of regional titles in the North and Scotland. Titles included in this package include the The Carlisle Journal, The Manchester Mercury, The Bury Times and The Burnley Express.
