What is EndNote?

EndNote is software for the organisation and management of bibliographic citations and references. It enables users to:

  • save, organise and edit references
  • link to Word to cite references and create bibliographies

It is available in a desktop and a web version. EndNote Online is ideal for undergraduates, but does not have the full functionality of the desktop version.

For more information see the EndNote corporate website.

Accessing EndNote

EndNote desktop is available on all University-owned computers and can be accessed on Staff and Students' personal Windows machines via Application Jukebox.

If Staff and Students want a copy of EndNote installed directly on their own machines, they need to purchase a personal licence. A discounted academic rate of £75 is available.

To purchase EndNote go to the Adept Scientific online store. Click on Login Now, select Lancaster University as your institution and log in with your network details.
