A Masterclass with Sarah Bellwood
This collaborative event between the Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC) and the Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA) will be returning on Tuesday the 5th of July (TBC). In our first event, we welcomed local artist Sarah Bellwood from Bellwood & Wright Fine Art to Lancaster University for a special masterclass in printmaking. This exciting workshop, which explores the overlap between art and biological science, is ideal for AS-Level art students (or equivalent) who have an interest in nature and the local environment.
Using our extensive collection of insects and other animal and plant specimens, Sarah Bellwood and other members of Lancaster University will assist you in forming initial ideas before you develop them into a lino cut. This will give you the opportunity to meet and find out about the work of ecology researchers and members of LICA.
The event is free to participants and will include lunch. To register (through your school or college) or for further information, please email email@example.com - but do note that numbers are initially restricted to 8 students per school or college.
