Current MSc International Innovation (Design) student Patrizia Carbone from Italy gives her views on the course and life at Lancaster and explains why she thinks the MSc "is a very good course.”

Why did you apply for the MSc International Innovation?

“It’s a unique programme that will give me not only academic knowledge but the possibility to be part of a real project working with a UK and Chinese company and the experience of working in a different country (China). I am also gaining knowledge and skills in design that are new to me.”

What’s it like studying at Lancaster University?

“So far it has been a great experience, the campus offers lots of facilities: a library where you can find all the books, journals etc. that you need, career services that can help you with your CV, CL and many interesting workshops, seminars and masterclass.”

What do you think of the course so far?

“It is a very good course.”

Would you recommend the course to other students? If so why?

“Of course! It is a great opportunity not only to get academic/theoretical knowledge but to gain work experience.”

What is the best thing about being on the MSc International Innovation so far?

“Learning Chinese and getting to know the companies we are going to work with.”

What career do you hope to pursue at the end of the course and how do you think the course will help you achieve that?

“I would like to either start up my own company probably in relation with China since I will have gained some first hand experience.”
