26 May 2017
The world is changing rapidly, challenges are getting bigger and bigger. Designing products and logos is not enough anymore; designers of the future will need to be intrepid, creative thinkers, researchers and experimenters. Design at Lancaster is focused on the future; we have the leading design research centre in the UK, and staff at the forefront of thinking about design and how we can shape the world.

This showcase will present some of our work on the future; of design, of our culture and of our planet. The work spans graphic and product design, the design of cities, and social innovation, drawn from a wide range of projects our staff and students are involved in. The showcase will be highly interactive and includes a design sprint challenge for attendees to think and make about the future.

This event is open to anyone with an interest in studying design at Lancaster through our BA Design and BSc Marketing and Design programmes. The showcase coincidences with the Fine Art Degree show for 2017, and attendees will have the opportunity to tour the show and our facilities here at Lancaster.
